I’m so excited to announce I’ve signed a new deal for an upcoming romantic suspense series with Harlequin Intrigue!
Today I’m giving you a little sneak peak into the four books that make up the Marshal Law series, debuting in December 2020 with The Fugitive.
The Oregon department of US Marshals stop at nothing to protect the civilian population and their past loves from the country’s most dangerous criminals, even if it costs them their lives—and their hearts.
During a binge-run of one of my favorite shoes, Justified, I was completely inspired to write about my very own division of US Marshals who are assigned to hunt fugitives, protect witness in Witness Protection, take care of judicial security, and more.
I had the characters already developing in my head while I rewatched the series, but location was completely up in the air.
That’s where Harlequin author Caitlin Crews came in! With her Instagram hashtag #oregonmyoregon, I fell in love with the idea of placing my next series in Oregon. So when I sat down with my Intrigue editor in New York City last year, I pitched her US Marshals in Oregon, and she absolutely loved the idea.
So the proposal and the series was born.
The first book in this series will hit shelves the middle of December 2020. While I don’t have official blurb or a cover, I can share a little bit with you about the book that is going to start a rapid release schedule (one book released a month until April 2021).
This is the original blurb I submitted to my editor for consideration:
Justice. Integrity. Service.
Three words Deputy US Marshal Beckett Foster lives by, but when his former lover, fugitive Raleigh Wilde, charges back into his life claiming he’s the father of her unborn child, all bets are off. There’s a killer on her trail and Beckett must decide between the oath he took to uphold the law and the woman he’ll now do anything to protect.
Fighting to save the charity she helped build from the ground up, Raleigh Wilde is determined to clear her name of the embezzlement charges to give her baby the life it deserves. Trusting the man who turned his back on her after promising to always be there is a lifeline she can’t turn down but partnering with Beckett is sure to put her life—and her heart—in more danger than ever before.
